2. FEATURES
W300 can handle high-temperature and severe working condition.
Advantages:
1.The temperature tested can be kept automatically when measurement is finished.
2.W300 will warn you during the situations that thermocouple break, power of battery is low, and over range.
3.If there is no signal input within 2 minutes when the power is on, the power will cut off automatically.
W300 benefits from anti-jamming technology, so you do not have to cut the power when using intermediate frequency furnace (this kind furnace generate intense electromagnetic interference when power is on).

4. OPERATION
Press the power switch (ON/OFF) on the panel, display shows '←1888', W300 will enter into measurement mode. You should select peak value holding(▲HOLD) or stable value holding mode depends on actual demands. For example, you would better choose stable value holding function when there is overshoot response (when there is much steel slag over the molten steel).
1.If the thermometer shows '-1', it means thermocouple has not been inserted or inserted firmly. Either push or revolve the paper tube will improve the contact.
2.If the thermometer shows '1', it means over range for the input signal.
3.If the thermometer shows '←', it means thermometer is working in peak value holding mode.
4.If the thermometer shows flashing '←', it means thermometer is working in stable value holding mode.
5.If the thermometer shows flashing '000', it means input signal is lower than the range.
6.If the thermometer shows flashing '888', it means the battery need charging
1.Steel, Iron, Copper Measurement
First,you should insert the thermocouple to the test gun (gently but firm), and connect the signal plug to the input socket on the thermometer. Then switch on the power and press on the (▲HOLD) key, plunge the thermocouple into molten metal stably, accurately and quickly, and the optimal depth is ≥20mm. When the temperature on the display rise fast and then stay stable, you should lift up the test gun quickly (this process normally cost about 4 seconds). Thermocouple should not stay in the molten metal for too long ,or the test gun would possibly get damaged.
2.Aluminum, Zinc Measurement
If the object temperature is lower than 1300℃, you can use K type sheathe thermocouple, which can work for many times, and its method of measurement is like above.
3.Solid Surface Measurement
If you want to measure the surface temperature of cast mould, material, solid sample, etc, you should use type K surface thermocouple. When using it, you should stick the probe of K thermocouple to the object surface, and once the temperature shows on the display stop rising and remain stable, you should lift up the thermocouple quickly. Type K surface thermocouple can work for several times.
